Yellowhammer by GORDON BENINGFIELD (1936-98)

Yellowhammer by GORDON BENINGFIELD (1936-98) – SOLD

The Yellowhammer was one of Gordon’s favourite birds – he couldn’t envisage a Countryside without it – it is one of our most beautiful birds.

This is an early work (1968) published by Solomon and Whitehead as an Open Edition. It came (along with a few of his other early works) from a Gallery in the United States that closed in 1980. I have framed it simply with a moss-green mount and wooden frame in gold with green inlay. Size: 13.5” (34.5cms) by 11.5” (29.5cms).
